Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Do I need to be in Spain to start my application?

Not necessarily. Many visa pathways, including the Non-Lucrative Visa, must be initiated from your home country through a local Spanish consulate or processing center. However, certain programs like the Digital Nomad Visa allow you to apply directly from within Spain as a tourist.

Yes. For both the Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) and Digital Nomad Visa (DNV), the person who best meets the visa requirements applies as the main applicant, while eligible family members can be included as dependents in the same process.

    • Under the NLV: applicants can include their spouse/partner and minor children, or adult children with special needs who remain financially dependent.
