THIS COUNTRY STILL SURPRISES US! (Mindo Ecuador Cloud Forest)

This is Part 2 of our visit to the Cloud Forest of Mindo Ecuador, and it was even more AMAZING than the first!

In our last video we showed you a FLOCK of hummingbirds, but in this video, you’ll see birds at the opposite end of the size spectrum, but just as colorful!

Plus, we’ll take you along on a hike through the jungle that looked like it was straight out of Romancing the Stone!

We’re happy to introduce you to Anderson and Rolando, who took us to Las Cotingas Reserve in this video. They offer an amazing bird watching tour in Mindo, Ecuador that’s accessible to all ages.

Plus, Rolando also operates San Tadeo Birding, which is where we filmed the hummingbirds in our first video from Mindo.

THIS PLACE IS LIKE A FAIRYTALE!

This cloud forest has been on Amelia’s bucket list since we moved to Ecuador nearly 5 years ago, and we finally made it!

It’s located just 2 hours west of Quito, and it’s a truly magical place. It’s very popular with foreign and Ecuadorian tourists, so the town is very tourist oriented.

The Mindo Cloud Forest is mostly known for the wide variety of butterflies and birds, including hummingbirds, toucans, tanigers and many more. It’s a bird watchers paradise!

But it’s also popular with outdoor adventurers who enjoy hiking, riding ATVs, river rafting, mountain biking, etc. If you’re an outdoors person, you’ll love Mindo Ecuador!
